Rev. Fr. Dr. G. Mathias

Founder

"Compassionate service to the underprivileged is the true pathway to local and national development. By empowering one life, we bring light to an entire household."

"Since establishing the Salai St. Xavier's Village Development Trust in 2003, our single-minded focus has been to uplift families in Ranipet's villages. We observed that young children were dropping out of school due to structural poverty, and elder citizens were suffering from malnutrition and poor access to medicine. By initiating community health camps, direct midday meals, sewing centres, and educational scholarship drives, we are actively restoring dignity and confidence to our community. I thank all our members, volunteers, and well-wishers who walk with us on this journey of compassion."

What We Do

Our Core Social Initiatives

Educational Support

We identify meritorious students from rural schools who face drop-out risks due to financial hardships. The trust distributes school tuition aids, text books, notebooks, bags, and bicycles to keep them in classrooms.

Free Medical Camps

We organize regular medical check-up camps in partnership with regional hospitals. Rural families receive free diagnostics, dental and eye screenings, pediatric counseling, and essential pharmaceutical drugs.

Mid-day Meal Program

Our feeding drives focus on deserted senior citizens and daily wage laborers, providing wholesome, nutritious meals prepared under sanitary conditions to promote public health and eliminate local hunger.

Skill Development

We run sewing, tailoring, and embroidery workshops for rural women. Additionally, basic computer courses and vocational workshops are conducted for youths to improve local employment prospects.

Community Dispensary

Our local clinic center provides primary healthcare consultations and basic first aid services, offering low-income village families a dependable first line of defense against sickness.

Social Awareness

We host community campaigns focusing on women's hygiene, tree plantations for environmental security, child safety education, health sanitations, and legal/government scheme orientation drives.
